I was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and moved to Maui in 2005. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Elementary Education. Since on Maui I have taught Kindergarten, second grade, and preschool. I am currently director of the after school care program, and substitute early childhood through 8th grade at Haleakala Waldorf School. I also represent local Maui born artist Matt Holton. We run Holton Gallery out of our home on Maui in Hawai'i. I love living here! After 10 years in Flagstaff, Arizona, I was ready for a change. Maui is rich with culture, and warm beyond the constant sunshine.| Home from the Hospital |
How did this website start?
On December 11th, 2009, I was in a bicycle accident. I broke my jaw, lost 5 teeth, and damaged my face. I have no memory of the accident, but I do remember those whom were there for me, and continue to be a positive part of my life.
This blog started as a way for me and Matt to communicate what was going on with my recovery day to day with family and friends.
It has now turned into a way not only for me to communicate what I am up to, but also a way for me to connect with parents, and their children for their tutoring, and child care needs. A nice combination of both my personal and professional pursuits.
Pending is the process of dental implants, and crown and bridge work. I continue to work on saving the funds to get this process started. Your help is greatly appreciated.
