This has been clouding my thoughts more frequently, so I felt it was time for me to post this:
This is so disheartening, disgusting, and simply makes me feel that the natural environment in which we live is not meshing well with our increasing appetite for oil. The pristine marsh lands in Louisiana (and beyond I'm afraid) will be forever tainted, and changed. Oxygen levels are lessening in the ocean water, and making it hard for life to breathe down there. Not to mention the images I have seen of the birds, and their eggs, the grass, and water covered in oil. BP, and the government are being held accountable for this disaster, and somehow I feel like no one knows what they are doing. It is scary! Even more reason for me to get back on my bicycle!
